Anthropology Goodness

Hallelujah!  The Anthro Dress God has spoken...

And the God who is in charge of all other goodness has whispered my name...

Oh how I miss my Anthropology visits.  Now, I can only indulge in silly online window shopping.
I can't complain, it's better than nothing.

Much Love.

Innisfree Nail Polish in 104

I've been falling in love with blue nail polishes lately.  I found this Innisfree one in colour 104 as mentioned in my last haul post.  The price is relatively inexpensive at $25 HKD.  I like the small glitters in the polish that gives it a duo chrome effect of dark blue and purple.  This reminds me of the galaxy and outer space :)
I usually apply 3 coats to get my desired effect.  It dries fairly quickly.  I didn't apply a top coat and the wear isn't that great.  However, I also applied this on my toes and the colour stayed for quite a long time.  Taking it off was quite easy as well considering that this is a glitter polish.

Since I'm loving blue polishes lately, I'm drooling over Chanel's 667 in Bel-Argus in its Summer 2013 collection which looks absolutely gorgeous.  Definitely check that one out!

Much love.

Innisfree Haul

A super cute store in Causeway Bay with tons of greeneries on the exterior has been catching my attention recently.  The fact that there is always a short line of girls outside waiting to get in makes me even more curious.  I'm talking about the Innisfree store in Causeway Bay close to Forever21 and across from Hysan Place.

Yesterday while hanging out with my girlfriend before dinner, we decided to check it out.  We found out that we can become a member with a $100 HKD purchase.  The membership is a point system where you get 1 point for every $100 HKD you spend.  And once you get 10 points, you can use it as $10 HKD.  The perk is really not that amazing but since it's quite easy to join, we joined nonetheless cause how can you say no to a cute beauty store? fml...
I spent a total of $105 HKD.
- 2 sheet masks ($10 each)
- 3 capsule sleeping packs ($20 each)
- 1 nail polish ($25)
Sheet masks in Acai Berry and Gold Kiwi
I'm super excited to try these.  I got the Jejubija & Aloe, Pomegranate, and Rice.  These are sleeping packs that should be applied before sleeptime and can be left on until the morning.  There are other types of capsules that have to be washed off after 10 to 20 minutes.  Those ones are $15 rather than $20 each.  I didn't get those ones cause knowing myself, I'm too lazy to wash it off... -_-  Each capsule can be used two to three times.
Last but not least, I picked up a nail polish.  I've been really liking dark polishes lately.  This one is in number 104.  The colour is an indigo colour.  Depending on the light, it's either dark purple or dark blue.  There is also small specs of sparkles inside.  Super pretty - it reminds me of the galaxy.  There are also tons of choices that resemble the Deborah Lippmann polishes glitter polishes.

Hope you enjoyed my haul :)  I'll try and do some reviews soon.

Much Love.

Lioele Waterdrop BB Cream Review

Since my move to Hong Kong, I feel a need to completely change my skincare / makeup routine when I finish my current stock because of the drastic climate change.  My skin has gotten more sensitive and developed more redness... I'm trying to still trying to figure out a solution.  Meanwhile, my previous beloved Skin79 Super Plus BB Cream (review here) has run out and I was more than ready to tryout a new BB Cream as the Skin79 one felt a tad bit heavy in this humid weather.  I have always been intrigued about Lioele from all the Youtube hype it got a couple years back so I went to a Colormix in search of one.  I originally had my eyes on the Lioele Beyond The Solution BB Cream.  However, with the numerous BB Cream options at the store, I was quite indecisive.  I asked the SA for help and she suggested this Lioele Waterdrop BB Cream.  She tried it on my hand and it felt much lighter than the other ones I tried.  At a price of HKD 160 for two bottles (50g each), I decided to give it a try.
Lioele Waterdrop BB Cream SPF 27 PA++
It claims to "release moisture drops to provide ample hydration and covering blemishes for a clean, natural finish.  Water Capture System that uses highly absorbing Plant Extracts, Trehalose, and Oligo HA helps maintain healthy moisture level to leave a dewy, flawless look without glossiness."
Overall, I think this product does what it claims to do on the packaging.  The application is extremely smooth.  The natural colour of the BB cream is a little darker than my skin tone; However, when I rub it against my skin, I can see water droplets being formed and gradually being blended into my skin.  This doesn't leave a grey cast unlike other BB creams I have used.  The finish is great - not too dewy or shiny, and it's extremely lightweight.  I literally don't feel like I'm wearing anything.  I usually apply two layers.  This product provides very light coverage, but it does even out my skin tone.  It also has SPF27 PA++ which is a plus.  The scent is very minimal and it's quite pleasant.  The packaging is light so it's great for travelling.  I quite enjoy this packaging rather than the pump packaging that I'm used to with the Skin79 Super Plus BB cream.

In conclusion, if you have problematic skin and you're looking for a fuller coverage, this is not for you. However, if you are only looking for slight coverage, and you live in somewhere with a humid climate, then I would recommend it.  You'll enjoy its lightweight and moisturizing properties, and as well as its protection from the sun.  It's also quite affordable, which is a plus!

Hope this is helpful.  Let me know what's your favourite BB cream :)

Much Love.

Forever 21 Jewelry Haul

It's been so long since I last blogged.  Life has been keeping me busy - new job, yoga membership (I've been reunited by my beloved yoga!), and being ill here and there.  Lately, I've been hit with the shopping bug.  Partly because I've been running out of clothes to wear since I didn't bring a whole lot when I moved, and partly because of the change of season.  I picked up a few jewelry during one of my many F21 visits.  It's extremely risky that my yoga studio is a 5 minutes walk away from F21.

I've been stepping out of my comfort zone of silver jewelry lately.  Absolutely loving gold and rose gold!  I think it suits my skin tone a lot more.  This stacked necklace has the perfect length.  Anyone else has a problem with super short choker type necklaces?  I am super self conscious when I wear those - make me feel like I have a really thick neck! Ha :P

Arrows Necklace in gold
The length of this necklace is longer.  When I bought it, I had the vision to wear it with a buttoned up white collared shirt.  I have yet to try it, but I still think it's super cute nonetheless.  Again, this is in the gold family again.

I also got this pair of triangular arrow looking dangly earrings.  Since I don't have any dangly earrings here with me.  I liked the look for these ones and they're quite inexpensive so I got them :)

I also purchased this super cute ring set for jokes.  I love the nerdy moustache trend!  I'm such a dork :P  They're super comfortable to wear as well.

Much Love.
Happy Easter!

Marc by Marc Jacob Goodbye Columbus Tote in Black

Tadaaa!  I've gotten myself a decent black work bag.  Believe it or not, being the bag lover that I am, I don't own a decent professional looking work bag until now.  In the past, I've always used the excuses that either I was only an intern and didn't need a good work bag or my previous full time work place attire was too laid back.  The 2 main work bags that I used in the past were my Longchamp and my Agnest B boston bag as posted here.  Now that I have landed a new job and will be starting soon, it's time to step it up a little :)

This is my new baby!  The Marc by Marc Jacob "Goodbye Columbus Tote" in black.  There are several things that I love about it.  1) The handle is long enough that I can put it on my shoulder or my arm.  2)  There's a longer strap attached as well for convenience.  3) The compartments are amazing - There are two zipper slots on either side that fit A4 papers perfectly.  The middle compartment can only be closed by a magnetic buckle but there are zippered slots inside for money and such.  4) The leather is very light weight.
I absolutely love it!  I feel like it'll be a classic and functional piece that will last a long time.  This is the best work bag option that I found that is in this size, quality, and price range that fits my style.

What's your favourite work bag?

Much Love.
